I find it hard to juggle these kinds of things even with a two-parent family, especially when one of the parents (yours truly) has to work late generally one or two nights a week--and not on a consistent night. At 3 yrs and 18 months, aside from playdates, we don't really do many activities. That has a lot to do with my working nights and my husband working days.
