One of our favorite kid-friendly meals is chicken tacos. Take a few boneless breasts, throw them in the crock pot with a packet of taco seasoning and a jar of salsa (and, if you can get away with it, you can sneak in a can of black beans and some frozen corn). Put the crock on low for the day, and serve with taco toppings of choice. My kids constantly ask for this! (Plus, it makes a TON of leftovers for those other nights and/or lunches.)

Great post! I really enjoyed reading it and honestly believe that all mothers are working mothers. It really upsets me when both sides judge each other. The fact is at the end of the day, we all want the best for our children, we just have different ways of going about it.

I used to have a button I wore to teach childbirth classes. It read: EVERY mom is a working mom! Mom-in-law used to drop by and inspect my house, and invariably it fell during Oreos and milk in the living room floor. THOSE were the best days. I truly don't miss the fingers under the bathroom door while I tried to have 'JUST TEN minutes' to myself. But if motherhood meant 2nd place for us, (created 2nd), then I'm okay with it. Wouldn't change a thing. Great post!

I was trying to explain to my son earlier that America is fascinated with the colon. Lactbacillus to yogurt 'for great colon health'. Maybe! But that stuff is still bacteria!! As for your new-found ability to 'draw the blue' as we call it, I'm right there with you. Truthfully, they're not trained over here until they've pulled me over. :))

I agree, I can't wait for a book either. Alycia has a brown cat that has the same value. The only thing that has kept it so in tact is that it was as big as her when she was Hannah's age. Her Auntie Amy bought it for her one night after a hard day at the doctor. Alycia had to have a chest x-ray, which meant to be strapped into this contraption to hold her still. I had to stand in the hallway and listen to her scream, because I was pregnant. The cat was Auntie Amy's way of saying I am so sorry I had to help hold you down, and I will never do it again. Now at the age of 8 A.J. still does not sleep without her brown cat.
